17-year-old girl raped, accused at large
Visakhapatnam: A 17-year-old minor girl was raped by a 30-year-old man at Subbalakshminagar under the Fourth Town police station limits. The incident took place on Thursday when the victim’s mother lodged a complaint with the police late
Visakhapatnam: A 17-year-old minor girl was raped by a 30-year-old man at Subbalakshminagar under the Fourth Town police station limits.
The incident took place on Thursday when the victim’s mother lodged a complaint with the police late in the night. The incident came to light on Friday after the police launched a man-hunt for the accused.
Police said that the accused was identified as P Srinivas (30), a resident of HB Colony and worked as a car driver in a house at Subbalakshminagar, while the minor girl worked as a maid in the same house.
Circle Inspector of Fourth Town GV Ramana said around 5.30 pm on Thursday evening, the driver took the minor girl to an isolated place near the house where both worked and raped her.
The victim after the incident went home and narrated the incident to her mother in the night who immediately went to the police station and filed a complaint. She was sent to King George
Hospital for medical examination.
