In the wake of Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan's tour in Uddanam of Srikakulam district wherein he highlighted the plight of the people suffering from numerous kidney ailments, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has responded to the issue.

The issue was brought to his notice once again by Dr. CL Venkat Rao during the tele conference on Friday and Chandrababu assured to offer pension to those who have suffered from kidney failure.

The Chief Minister plans to set up few more dialysis centers and urged the Health & Panchayat Raj Departments to take up the issue in Uddanam as a challenge. Stating that they are keen to find out the root-cause for the kidney ailment in the region, Chandrababu said that the focus needs to be on finding a permanent solution.

Addressing a public meeting in Srikakulam district, he declared that the government would set up a drinking water plant in the district on the lines of Kuppam Assembly constituency adding that mineral water will be supplied to every village.
