Thousands of people are expected to
attend the Digi Dhan Mela to get information about the services offered by the government and private banks, financial institutions, government departments and oil companies on cashless transactions and use of apps.

Information can be obtained on use of e-PoS (Point of Sale) machines, linking of Adhaar number to bank accounts, information on debit and credit cards, Rupay Card, Unified Payment Interface (UPI), Adhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS), Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD), net banking, digital wallets, UPI apps, Master Visa and Paytm.

The officials will create awareness among the people about Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapara Yojana.

District Collector Babu A talking to the media at the Collector’s camp office here on Saturday announced that the district administration is making elaborate arrangements for the one day Digi Dhan Mela to create awarenss among the people on the cashless transactions and various schemes being implemented by the government to encourage cashless transactions.

He announced more than 75 stalls will be set up by banks, financial institutions, government departments and traders.

He said 15,000 consumers get prizes daily in India under the Lucky Consumer scheme as part of the Lucky Grahak Yojana.

He said weekly prizes will be distributed with cash prize of Rs 1 lakh to the consumers as part of the efforts to promote cashless
transactions. He said consumers, who pay cashless, will be rewarded basing on lottery system.

He said mega prize of Rs.1 crore will be distributed to the winners on April 14 to mark the birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar. He said the second prize is Rs.50 lakh and third prize is Rs.25 lakh to the lucky winners.
