Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa called for effective utilization of Janma Bhoomi-Maavooru programme for achieving fruitful solutions to various issues pertaining to the common man.

Participating in the programme organized at Madhavapatnam in Samarlakota mandal on Saturday Chinarajappa said that apart from developmental schemes such as own buildings for the village panchayat and Anganwadi center in the village, skill development programme for the youth and employment generation under MGNREGP were also taken up in the village that falls under Peddapuram Assembly constituency.

When pressed on the need for a function hall in the village, the Deputy CM who represents Peddapuram in AP assembly quickly announced Rs 20 lakh for the construction of the same.

On this occasion, Chinarajappa announced that the construction of a residential school with a cost of Rs 21 crore is underway at Peddapuram town. The proposed school will cater to the needs of rural population in the constituency, he said.

The minister declared open the village panchayat building taken up with a cost of Rs 25 lakh and handed over a tractor to a farmer for agriculture operations.

Kakinada Rural MLA Pilli Anantalakshmi and others too participated in the programme.
