Paderu (Visakhapatnam): Project Officer of Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Ravi Pattan Shetti said that development works undertaken in the Agency areas will be checked by the Quality Control teams soon.

He was addressing the Gram Sabha of fourth round of Janmabhoomi Maa -Vooru programme held at the Chief Minister’s adopted hamlet of Padalabudu in Araku Valley mandal on Saturday.

Pattan Shetti said when crores of rupees of public money were spent on development works, there is need to check the quality of the works. About the Chandranna Bheema scheme, he asked the residents to utilise the scheme by paying Rs 15.

He said that there are 299 tribal youth in the hamlet and all of them would be provided with employment after giving necessary training at the Youth Training Centre. Stating that still 94 persons were to register names online seeking houses, he said that after completion of registration process, houses will be sanctioned.

Under the MGNREGS, housing and individual toilets could also be built, he added.

About the improving medical facilities, the Project Officer said that two senior gynecologists would be posted at the Araku Valley Government Area Hospital on deputation.

When his attention was drawn to the Similiguda Fair Price Shop, he assured the problem would be solved at the earliest and necessary steps will be taken for sanctioning ration cards and social security pensions to those who have not received.

Earlier, the local public representatives have brought some problems of the panchayat, the PO assured that they will be redressed on a priority basis. Later, he distributed ration cards, LED bulbs and scholarships and visited the medical camp and horticulture exhibition.
