Balaji Naik, who was working as constable in Anantapur, cleared all other tests and was one among the nine participants of the race. The test was conducted at the Andhra Pradesh Special Police Ground as he was a police constable with Anantapur police station.

Kurnool Superintendent of Police A Ravikrishna said that "Balaji Naik entered the ground at 9am and participated in different tests.

Around 11am, he collapsed midway and was attended by doctors present at the field as he was struggling to breathe.

However, doctors at Government General Hospital declared him brought dead," he concludes.
