Kurnool: The district police arrested four persons, who had killed Venkateswara Goud, president of Kurnool District Fair Price Dealers Association, on January 24.

The accused were presented before the media in the presence of Superintendent of Police Ake Ravi Krishna at Ved Vyas Auditorium here on Tuesday.

The SP said that the deceased took Rs 2.5 lakh from the key accused Yerukali Srinivasulu by promising him to sanction a fair price shop. Srinivasulu grew grudge against the deceased as he was of evading him and even not returning money.

He hatched a plan to kill Venkateswara Goud with other accused, who were fair shop dealers. The four killed Venkateswara Goud at an internet centre in Maddur Nagar on January 24.

Ravi Krishna appreciated the DSP DV Ramana Murthy, III Town Circle Inspector G Madhusudhana Rao, Sub Inspectors Srinivasulu and Mallikarjuna and other police personnel for the cracking the murder case. OSD Ravi Prakash and Circle Inspector Maheshwar Reddy were also present.
