Tadepalligudem: Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao assured that necessary steps would be taken up to build permanent buildings for the National Institute of Technology (NIT) and recruiting permanent teaching staff for it.

The assurance came when the NIT IInd year students met the Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao at his residence on Tuesday to bring to his notice on issues faced by them. The teaching staff from Warangal NIT has not been attending to the Tadepalligudem NIT classes.

Manikyala Rao paid attention to problems highlighted by students and assured them that soon he would take up the case with the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar in this regard.

They pleaded with the Minister to take quick steps to appoint permanent teaching staff to the Tadepalligudem-based NIT since the Warangal staff has been evading its duties. Reacting to on the representation, has directed the NIT Director Dr GRD Reddy to take steps to hold classes in NIT Tadepaligudem and direct the Warangal staff to visit the Campus there.

Students of NIT also raised issue on lack of standards of the teaching staff.
The minister assured that soon the NIT Tadepalligudem will have permanent buildings by October this year.

Also, the 1st and 2nd year students will have the hostel buildings, he assured. The minister said that he already discussed the teaching staff issue and the Director’s appointment with the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.

He also said that soon a notification would be issued by the HR Ministry for the appointment of Director.

Expressing concern over the teaching staff skipping the NIT Tadepalligudem classes, he enquired with the Director In-charge GRP Reddy about the reasons why the NIT officials are skipping.

The Director GR Reddy who was present during the time students met the Minister, assured the students that he would look into the issue and see that the Warangal staff returns to teaching classes.
