Speaking to the mediapersons at TDP office here on Thursday, he said that special committees comprising of revenue, police and VRO officials were formed to check the age-old practice, which was banned by the Supreme Court. He asserted that round-the-clock vigil would be maintained in rural and remote areas.
Turning his attention towards Mudragada Padmanabham’s proposed six-day padayatra that commences from January 25, the Deputy CM made it clear that the organisers should seek prior permission, as section 30 was enforced in East Godavari district.
“In the last two-and-half years, the ruling TDP government extended loans to Kapu community, appointed Manjunath Commission and introduced special coaching for Kapu youth for attending competitive exams,” he claimed and lamented that Mudragada was resorting to frequent agitations despite the government fulfilling pre poll promises.
Holding the Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and the previous Congress governments responsible for their inaction on water to Pulivendula, Chinarajappa said that it was TDP, which supplied water to Pulivendula from Gandikota project. “The project remained in dead storage and did not receive adequate attention during the Congress regime,” he reiterated.
Lambasting YS Jaganmohan Reddy for disregarding the good work initiated by the TDP government, Chinarajappa listed out the successful completion of Pattiseema project and the Centre’s assistance to the Polavaram project.
He alleged that a closed aide of Jagan, Ananda Kumar went on to amass huge wealth to the tune of Rs 1,300 crore from.
“Jagan in connivance with Anand Kumar floated several bogus companies and invested crore of rupees in several companies. Even the ED confiscated illegal properties to the tune of Rs 43,000 crore,” the deputy CM charged.
