‘Release arrested HR activists’

Ongole: The People’s and Human Rights Organisations demanded the Telangana and Chhattisgarh governments release the advocates and leaders of various organisations who were arrested and sent to Sukuma jail in Chhattisgarh.

They demanded the governments prosecute the police officers involved in the arrests and cheating the court with false information.

It may be recalled that a Fact Finding Committee with the members of Telangana Prajaswamika Vedika, CRPP, KNPS, Tudum Debba were on way to Chhattisgarh to find out police attacks on tribals.

Kalyana Rao, Virasam leader, said,
“Police registered a false case stating that the members of the committee were trying to exchange banned old currency to possess revolutionary literature.”
