Visakhapatnam: Senior Civil Judge R V Nagasundar called upon the youth to imbibe patriotic values, one of the great virtues for the development of the country.

He was addressing a meeting organised on the occasion of 154th birth anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda by Sri Gayatri Welfare and Cultural Youth Academy, Department of District Youth Services, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and R K Beach Vendors’ Association here on Thursday.

Judge Nagasundar asked the youth to do something for the country drawing inspiration from Swamy Vivekananda. He also told the petty vendors that they can redress their problems through DLSA free of cost.

Inspector of Three Town B Venkata Rao, president of Sri Gayatri Welfare and Cultural Academy R Ravi Kumar, R K Beach Vendors’ Association leader D Tirumala Rao, Paluri Seshumamba, L V Ramani, Satish, Sankar and others were presetn.

Earlier, Nagasundar garlanded the portrait of Vivekananda and paid tributes.
At another function at Sri Swamy Vivekananda Vidyanikethan at Chinamushidiwada on the city outskirts on Thursday, school founder Chappa Sankara Rao offered Rs 8,000 to a poor woman B Latha of Relli village, Kottavalasa mandal from the Vivekananda Fund which was set up in August, 2011.

School principal Chappa Rajesh, director Chappa Vijay Kumar, vice-principal Sheik Jhani Begum and faculty Subbalakshmi, Munnisa Begum, Chandrakala, Kavya, Sanga Mahesh, Nagamani and parents attended.
