Tirupati: MR Palli police took four YSRCP activists on the charges of damaging the flexes in Pudipatla cross near here on Friday following a complaint from TDP activist Badi Sudha Yadav.

The flexes put up by Yadav, a close confident of former Minister and TDP leader Galla Arunakumari, welcoming Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu were damaged by a group of unidentified persons who came in a vehicle at Pudipatla cross late last night.

The enraged TDP activists retaliated by damaging the vehicle and attacked the group, which managed to flee.

After the complaint from the TDP leader MR palli police took four person suspecting them involved in damaging TDP flexes in Pudipatla cross which is enroute to Rangampeta-Naravaripalli ahead of CM’s visit to his native village.

YSRCP activists also filed a complaint in MR Palli police station against TDP activists for damaging the car.

Meanwhile, Chandragiri YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy sought the MR Palli police to release the detained persons immediately.

Reddy was in the police station till evening, as the police have not release the four who were detained in the case, when reports last came in.

TDP activists also reported the incident to Tirupati Urban SP R Jayalakshmi seeking stern action against those involved in the incident.
