Top priority to safety of passengers: SCR GM
Tirupati: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav on Friday inspected Tirupati railway station including expansion of the station proposed in the south side to ease congestion.
Tirupati: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav on Friday inspected Tirupati railway station including expansion of the station proposed in the south side to ease congestion.
He examined the blueprint of expansion works proposed and elicited information from officials on the facilities to be added to existing railway station.
The GM also inspected the stalls on the platforms and made a random examination of the food products being sold in the shops and also the control room and saw the monitoring of the CC cameras set up in the railway station.
Earlier, speaking to media he said that the SCR will take up the expansion works to cope with passenger flow more so the pilgrims which is steadily increasing.
He said SCR’s priority was security and safety of passengers both in the railway station and trains and added that he will focus on completing the Tirupati railway station expansion works which is pending for long.
