Chittoor: There is a wonderful temple situated on the bank of Bahuda river, near Agarampalli village on the way to Kanipakam from Chittoor.

It may be described a case, rarest of the rare, where no devotee is interested to enter into the temple for its own reasons.

Ganesh Swamy, a resident of YS Santha Gate village , Irala village had constructed the unnamed temple expending over Rs.50 lakhs nearly 11 years ago in an extant of 2 acres of land.

The idols of Potuluri Veera Brahmamendra Swamy, Sri Gayathri Ammavaru, and Valli Subramanya Swamy were installed in the temple accordingly.

A temple for Navagrahams is also constructed in the same premises besides the houses for the Pujaris. A high archway was also constructed at the entry of the temple which is said to be the main attraction of the temple.

The stage had been set long back to inaugurate the temple with the traditions of Agama Shastra.

Unfortunately, a complaint was lodged against Ganesh Swamy, the founder of the temple that he encroached the land pertaining to Bahuda River for constructing the temple.

The concerned officials of Agarampalli Grama Panchayat and the Revenue authorities of Irala Mandal have also strongly opposed in this regard.

The issue was then put under the purview of the court and as a result, the inauguration of the beautiful unnamed temple has been put in abeyance since 11 years.

Ganesh Swamy has kept mum leaving the fate of the temple in dark awaiting for court directions.

It is really surprising that the Endowment Department which is the custodian of Hindu Temples have reportedly remained as spectators. As no inauguration was made officially , devotees are apparently hesitating to enter in to the closed temple it is learnt.

Apart from it, the temple is always closed due to no supervising authority posted for maintaining the temple.

Asked to comment over the non occupation of the unnamed temple, K Gopinath , former Chairman , Kanipakam Temple Trust Board felt that it would be the moral responsibility of Endowment Department to get the temple under its control till the litigation is cleared at court level .
