Deluge of people at beach festival

Kakinada: A large number of people attended the four-day beach festival that concluded here on Sunday. A host of ministers, including Finance Minister Yenamala Ramakrishnudu took part in the beach festival.

Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector H Arun Kumar said that the festival had been organized as part of tourism department’s Swadesh Darshan’.

The other two festivals - the Konaseema festival at Muramalla and the agency festival in Rampachodavaram will too be conducted in February and March, revealed H Arun Kumar.

Tourism Special Officer Bimasankara Rao, Kakinada Rural MLA, Pilli Anantalakshmi and others were part of the beach festival.

Several film stars participated in cultural activities that enthralled the huge gathering.
