Chirala: The United Kingdom Telugu Association (UKTA) organised Sankranti celebrations with more than 1000 Telugus from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala States living in London takin g part in festivities on Sunday.

Chirala: The United Kingdom Telugu Association (UKTA) organised Sankranti celebrations with more than 1000 Telugus from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala States living in London takin g part in festivities on Sunday.

The UKTA executive committee introduced their panel members elected recently for 2016-2018 to the members.

The president Prasad Mantrala introduced vice president Rajasekhar Kurba, secretary Satyaprasad Maddasani, treasurer Narendra Munnaluri, in-charges for media and social media Rudravarma Batta, social relations Balaram Vishnubhotla, IT Amarnath Reddy Chintapalli, Adityavardhan Alladi, Krishna Yalamanchili, cultural division Purnima Reddy Challa, business division Uday Aryan Areti, sports and social welfare activities Krishna Sanapala, Sudheer Konduru, officials spokes person Srisatya Prasad Killi to the members. Geeta Morla, Dr Anita Rao, Dr Padma Killi were announced as trustees of the UKTA.

Later, the members took part in dance and fun activities. The children too participated in cultural and entertainment activities planned by the committee.

Rudra Varma Batta and Dr Kranti Sajja, natives from Chirala said that UKTA would work for strengthening the relations between the Telugus and NRIs in the United Kingdom.
