Ensure regular salaries to resident doctors: CPM

Vijayawada: CPM State secretary P Madhu appealed the State government to take steps to release wages of resident doctors in government hospitals.

In a press release here on Tuesday, Madhu said the government did not pay salaries to the resident doctors for the last eight months.

Most of them have completed their PG degree and working as resident doctors, Madhu said.

He also said it was shame for the government that the doctors had to protest on roads for getting wages and the situation has led to interruptions in services in government hospitals on which the poor depends for medical treatment.

Madhu wanted the government to release wages immediately and take measures for regular payments to the doctors.
