The farmers of Andhra Pradesh Capital region, Amaravati and Polavaram on Wednesday met Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan to discuss the issue of the dumping of Polavaram project sand in their lands.

The farmers of Andhra Pradesh Capital region, Amaravati and Polavaram on Wednesday met Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan to discuss the issue of the dumping of Polavaram project sand in their lands.

Opposing the move, the Mulalanka farmers in Polavaram region explained their issue that the government is taking up 203 acres of land for the sand dumping.

Responding to the issue, Pawan Kalyan said that he has no idea as to why the state government has not given the promised lands but added that he would send representatives to look into the matter and later would address the issue with the government officials to resolve it.

The Jana Sena Chief was urged by the farmers to visit Mulalanka to assess the situation himself to which, he gave them an assurance that he would make a visit once he holds talks with the government.

Also, the farmers from Uddandaraya Palem and Lingaya Palem met Pawan Kalyan explaining the partiality being shown in land pooling for the capital.
