Prepare MoU list ahead of summit: CS

Visakhapatnam: Chief secretary SP Tucker asked the district officials to make a list of MoU to be signed at the Partnership Summit being held here on January 27 and 28.

The chief secretary at a meeting held with the CII and district officials here on Tuesday said as per the requirement of the investors, the officials should be ready with the list of infrastructural facilities and the incentives to be offered to them.

Last year, 334 MoU were signed at the summit and of them 26 MoUs were for Visakhapatnam. The chief secretary reviewed the progress of these MoUs and asked the officials to see that they were implemented without any further delay.

The decisions, which cannot be taken at the local level, should be sent to headquarters immediately so that they will be approved after interacting with officials concerned, he said.

General Manager of District Industries Centre A Ramalingeswara Rao gave a PowerPoint presentation of the agreements signed in the last summit and narrated the bottlenecks that were delaying the implementation.

District Collector Praveen Kumar, Joint Collector G Srijana APIIC zonal manager C Yathiraju and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
