Vijayawada: In a tragic incident, a seven-year-old differently abled boy was deserted at the Pandit Nehru Bus Station in the city on Tuesday by an elderly woman.

Vijayawada: In a tragic incident, a seven-year-old differently abled boy was deserted at the Pandit Nehru Bus Station in the city on Tuesday by an elderly woman.

But, this incident came to light on Wednesday when the police noticed a boy sitting in a chair on the bus stand premises. The child could not tell either his name or address.

He was immediately shifted to Childline, an NGO in Hanumanpet. Krishna Lanka police registered a case and started investigation.

The police noticed in the CCTV footage that an elderly woman was carrying the boy in the bus stand. The woman could have abandoned the boy on the bus stand premises and left.

Childline city coordinator A Ramesh, stated that anyone related to the boy can contact the childline 1091 or mobile 94408-97360.
