The Chief Engineer of Irrigation department C Narayana Reddy who accompanied the visiting engineers said that the representatives of KRMB members inspected Banakacharla and Muchumarri projects as part of introducing telemetry systems.

The engineers who inspected the facility include Balan and Nagapure. He said that the telemetry mechanism will work with the help of satellite facility to help monitor the amount of water drawn by the contentious States.

It will be installed at all water drawing points, he added. Stating that the new system would help officials monitor remotely the quantum of Krishna water utilised by the two States, the board member said.
