Vijayawada: TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Wednesday brushed aside talk of his entry into State Cabinet as hypothetical. He donated blood at a programme organised by NTR Trust to mark 21st death anniversary of NT Rama Rao.

He also inaugurated a prototype NTR museum and paid tributes to the TDP founder along with important leaders of the party.

Later, addressing the media, he said that he would do any work assigned to him by the party. Responding to a query relating to his possible inclusion into Cabinet, he said that the party did not discuss the issue so far.

When asked on chances of his contesting elections, he said that he would contest if the party asked him to do so. Whatever might be the party decision, he would abide by it, he added.

On the demand for country’s highest honour Bharat Ratna to NTR, he said the party would again pursue the matter with the Centre and there would be no going back on the issue.

Stating that 14,000 people had donated blood previous year, Lokesh informed that 20,000 persons came forward for donation this year. The camps were conducted in neighbouring Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Andaman and Nicobar islands and other places.

Lokesh watched a documentary and photographs arranged in the museum. Mayor Koneru Sreedhar, Ministers Narayana, Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, MP Kesineni Srinivas, MLAs Jaleel Khan, Gadde Rammohan, MLC Budda Venkanna and others were present.
