She also participated in a blood donation camp organised by Paritala Trust and also donated blood along with her sons Sriram and Siddartha and 500 youth, who donated blood at the camp.

Addressing party workers and well wishers at her residence in Arvindnagar, Sunitha said that her family owed their political existence to the late NTR, who invited the late Paritala Ravindra into the party and gave a respectable position to him.

She said that NTR was the first to introduce welfare schemes in the State and came to the rescue of the poor and downtrodden.

NTR also initiated the Handri Neeva project while the present Chief Minister completed the project to realise the dream of NTR in providing water to the parched Rayalaseema.

Minister for IT, Information and NRI Affairs Palle Raghunatha Reddy, who participated in NTR death anniversary meetings in Puttaparthi, Bukkapatnam and Dharmavaram, garlanded the statues of NTR and also participated in blood donation camp in Puttaparthi.

Speaking on the occasion, Palle praised NTR as an able administrator and as the one who treated all castes and religions equally and rose above politics while governing the State.

He said that NTR created history by storming to power in nine months after launching his own party and defeating the 130-year-old Congress party in 1983 elections.

He said that Chandrababu Naidu is dedicated to fullfill the dreams of NTR and also complete the Handri-Neeva project launched by NTR.

He said that the Chief Minister promised to fill all the tanks in the constituency including the Bukkapatnam tank with Handri Neeva water.
