Panel on govt assurances to tour Prakasam dist

Ongole: The Committee on Government Assurances to Prakasam district constituted by the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council will tour the district on January 19 and 20 to discuss on the status of implementation of various promises made by the Chief Minister and the government.

The committee under chairmanship of Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu and members Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, M Sudhakar Babu, PJ Chandrasekhara Rao and Yendapalli Srinivasulu Reddy will conduct a meeting with the youth advancement, tourism and culture department officials at the Beach Guest House at Kothapatnam on Thursday regarding the promise made to develop the beach as major tourist attraction in the district.

Later, the committee will visit the Veligonda project and inspect the works progress.

On Friday, the committee will convened a meeting with the District Collector and the officials from revenue, municipal administration, BC welfare, water resources development, transport, medical, infrastructure, social welfare, culture, women and child welfare departments to discuss the progress of promises made by the government.
