Vijayawada: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Social Media Training Department organised a day-long social media workshop for the State cadre in the city on Wednesday as part of national wide training programme to its cadre aiming to reach netizens across the country.

The workshop was organised under the leadership of National social media convener Amit Malviya in coordination of State in-charge Jogulamba and party president K Haribabu.

Addressing the party cadre, Amit Malviya made a brief presentation over the usage of social media. He said that the social media itself was a large platform to connect with wider group of public across the world.

“Cadre needs to know that it is very important to work as a team and not as an individual.

As of now, the State team must play an active part in spreading the achievements like demonetisation and clear the misconceptions in public. The Centre is doing a lot for the newly formed state of Andhra Pradesh and we must take facts to the people and gain momentum by 2019,” he said.

He further instructed the party leaders of the State to spread an awareness campaign on Central schemes and issues like reduction in inflation and interest rates on housing loans etc.

BJP State president K Haribabu said that the modern era is changing to smart era and there was a need to adopt the smart way to reach and communicate with people.

“We have to make use of social platforms available to campaign the work done by both our State and Union governments. Now, BJP is the first party in the world with 11 crore members and it has been achieved only by the hard work of party activists by following the ideology of the party.

Now we have to support our smart work along with hard work for achieving the best results,” he added.
