YSR Congress party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday visited the capital city area in Amaravati in order to oppose the forceful land acquisition of the farmers through land pooling.

YS Jagan met the displaced farmers who are losing their lands for the seed access roads. Having also met the farmers at Nidamarru and Lingayapalem, the YSRCP leader addressed a public meeting at Nidamarru in Guntur. He made a farmer named Meka Koti Reddy speak at the meeting.

The farmer shared that he has three acres of land and refused to part with it due to land pooling. Stating that the land would fetch nearly Rs 2 crores, if sold privately, he revealed that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had raised the value of the land by nearly 200 percent all across the state leaving Guntur adding that the compensation being given for the land is Rs. 15 lakh which is way less.

Speaking at the public meeting, Jagan alleged that Chandrababu is only interested in accumulating the lands from the farmers at less rates and pointed out that no development has been witnessed till date in the Capital area.
