Expedite road-widening works, instructs Maganti

Eluru: Eluru MP Maganti Venkateswara Rao (Babu) directed the officials to take up road widening works in Nuzvid town in Krishna district on a war footing. His instructions came when he received representations from the people of Nuzvid constituency who met him at his camp office here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the MP Maganti Babu assured that he would strive hard for the development of Nuzvid constituency that forms under Eluru Parliamentary constituency. The Eluru MP asserted that he already directed the concerned department officials to take steps to supply uninterrupted power and drinking water to the constituency.

During his meeting with the Joint Collector, he stressed on the importance of laying road to graveyard at Pothireddypalli in Nuzvid constituency, said Maganti. Assuring the people of his constituency, the Eluru MP categorically stated that to augment the work of constructing CC roads in the constituency, Rs.50 lakhs will be sanctioned from MPLAD funds. Further, he sought cooperation from the transport minister in sanctioning Rs.43 lakhs towards the construction of two culverts and R&B Road drainage at Pothireddypalli.

Koyyalagudem Mandal Parishad President Ainaparti Chandana also requested the MP to sanction Rs.40 lakhs under NREGPS and MP funds for the development of his mandal. Nuzivid TDP leaders Akkineni Chandu, Venu, Phani and others were part of the delegation that met Maganti. Earlier, newly joined police officers’ batch consisting of Nuzvid CI D Ramkumar, Rural SI CHV Naga Varaprasad, I-Town SI Venkata Kumar, II-Town SI Satish, and Musnuru SI Sivanarayana of Nuzvid met the MP formally.
