Vijayawada: Irrigation Department NGOs Association Krishna district unit president B Chiranjeevi said they will organise competitions in Sports and Cultural Meet for the Water Resources Department employees at Irrigation Circle compound in the city between January 20 and 25.
Addressing the media, Chiranjeevi said here on Thursday that Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao will inaugurate the sports and cultural programmes on Friday.
He further stated that the association has been conducting sports, and cultural competitions every year. Arrangements were completed for conducting the sports, he said. Irrigation Department NGOs Association State president B Srinivasa Rao, Krishna Delta chief engineer YS Sudhakar and others will participate in the inaugural function, he added.
