Krishna University Kabaddi, Archery teams selected

Krishna University Sports Board (KRU) has selected the university Kabaddi (Men) and Archery (Men and Women) team for South Zone and All India Inter University Championships respectively.

The university Kabaddi team has left the city to Chennai to participate in the South Zone Inter University Kabaddi Tournament which will be held at Vel Tech University, Chennai. The Sports Board has nominated Vikas Physical Education College, Nunna, Physical Director T Rama Krishna as coach cum manager.

Krishna University will conduct All India Inter University Archery Men and Women championship at Machilipatnam from February 15 to 19. Inter Collegiate Archery tournament was held at Satavahana College in the city in last month. Satavahana College Principal S Nageswara Sarma and university sports board secretary Dr N Srinivasa Rao have announced the teams here.

Archery team coach and Satavahana College Physical Director Bch Sangeetha Rao said that coaching camp has been continuing at his college. Kabaddi team include T Sravan Kumar, G Sandeep, Sk Abdul Sattar (SRR and CVR), K Naveen, (SGS), K Gopi, P Narendra Gopi (Vijaya BPED), V Purna Chandra Rao (PBS), K Vivek (AG &SG), S Vinod Kumar (Vikas BPED), E Rama Krishna (ALC), K Joel (ANR) and V Devanand (PBS)
Archery Men’s team have B Gopi, Naveen Kumar, EGN Deepu, OVK Chaitanya (SRR and CVR), K Pitchaiah (Satavahana), N Prudhvinadh (ANR) and M Lakshman Haveesh (PBS) Archery Women’s team include Y Anusha Reddy (SRR and CVR) and A Ravali (Montissori)
