Man killed over suspected illicit affair

Kadapa: In a broad daylight, two unidentified persons killed a former municipal contract employee at Nagulakatta Centre in Jammalamadugu town on Thursday.

M Ravi (27), a resident of Nagulakatta in the town, was heading to home at 2 pm in an inebriated condition. Suddenly, two persons attacked Ravi with iron rods on his head. Grievously injured Ravi succumbed to death while he was being shifted to the government hospital.

He is survived by a wife and two children. According to the sources, illegal affair suspected to be the reason for the murder. Ravi was terminated from contract services from Jammalamadugu municipality due to some reasons. The police registered a case and took up investigation.
