Vizianagaram: The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Authority organised Road Safety Week here on Thursday and created awareness about safety methods to be followed while driving.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Joint Collector U G C Nageswara Rao advised the people to follow the traffic norms while driving vehicles. Around 1,600 persons lost their lives in road accidents in the district in 2016 and 8,000 persons across the State.
