Srikakulm: Complete Vamsadhara, Thotapalli irrigation projects at a brisk pace Minister for Labour K Atchannaidu directed the officials. He convened a review meeting with the irrigation and revenue officials here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he directed the officials to finish works by end of May this year as Chief Minister N Chandrbabu Naidu assured to release water for crops in the ensuing kharif season which starts from June.
He directed the revenue and land acquisition officials to book criminal cases against persons who were trying to prevent land acquisition process and project works. The Minister expressed unhappiness over pending of Rs 94 crore at pay and accounts department which are meant for land acquisition of Thotapalli project.
The Minister warned contractors for inordinate delay in grounding of works even after handing over the land. MP K Rammohan Naidu, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Ch Dhanalakshmi, District Collector P Laxminarasimham, Joint Collector KVN Chakradhara Babu, engineering and revenue officials were present.
