Srikakulm: Farmers should keep abreast of emerging technological advances in agriculture for their development and improvement of productivity, suggested senior advisor of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology M R Anand.
He delivered a key note address in a workshop on ‘Interactive Information Dissemination System (IIDS) under Annapurna Krishi Prasar Seva (AKPS) which is meant for advising farmers on various crops through mobile phones with toll free number service. The workshop was held at Krishi Vignana Kendram (KVK) at Amudalavalasa on Friday.
Anand asked all agricultural scientists who attended the workshop to motivate farmers for better utilisation of experts’ suggestions.
