Srisailam Project (Kurnool): Local legislator Budda Rajasekhara Reddy said people living in government houses are likely to get the benefit of paying less rents following discussions made by officials with Chief Minister. Speaking at a press conference held here on Friday, he said drinking water supply schemes to Sunnipenta costing Rs 5 crore are nearing completion.
He inspected construction works in the village and enquired about the villagers problems. Earlier, he held a review meeting with party workers and government officials of various departments and made suggestions and gave directions regarding developmental activities. He lauded Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his planned approach to develop the temple city and constructing Srisailam project with foresight.
He also criticised opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for misleading the people with regard to Srisailam dam pluz pool and assured water allotment to Rayalaseema. He said it is horrible on the part of Jagan’s party workers for obstructing Allagadda MLA Akila Priya’s road show in Amaravati. MRO Vijayudu, Irrigation executive engineer Varahalarao and other officials were present.
