Kanithi Rama Tulasi, a tribal girl from Chintur village of Chintur mandal in East Godavari has won the ‘National Award’

Chintur (East Godavari): Kanithi Rama Tulasi, a tribal girl from Chintur village of Chintur mandal in East Godavari has won the ‘National Award’ from the Election Commission in recognition of her painting work on “Every vote is valuable”. Rama Tulasi, who is studying 10th class at Kasturibha Gandhi Balika Vidyalayam in Sirigindala Paadu has bagged the first prize in a painting competition conducted by the school. She also won the district-level prize after winning at the mandal and district levels.

Rama Tulasi has won the first prize at the state level and got the recognition from the election commission at the national level. She will be given the prize on 25th of this month on the occasion of National Voter’s Day in New Delhi.

The National Voter’s Day is celebrated every year marking the emergence of the Election Commission. The day is celebrated to encourage the citizens of the country to participate in the election process. Rama Tulasi, in her painting work, has depicted on the importance of electing good persons, distancing from being influenced by money and voting is everyone’s Right.

Taheslidar P Ramoji, Deputy Tahsildar, Anand, VRO Arjuna Rao and the staff of KGBV have congratulated Rama Tulasi on her feat.
