Kurnool: Taluka police arrested seven persons out of eight on the charges of killing one Mittagiri Kurva Ramudu of P Rudravaram village and were brought before media on Sunday at Ved Vyas Auditorium in Kurnool.
Superintendent of Police A Ravi Krishna disclosing the details the incident, said Boya Krishna, Boya Vikram, Dasi Balaraju, Boya Lakshmanna, Boya Nallabothula Yerramalla, Boya Nallabothula Raju, Boya Nallabothula Maddileti and Arun Goud all residents of P Rudravaram village, had killed Mittagiri Kuruva Ramudu after hitting him with TATA Sumo on December 6, 2016 at B Thandrapadu village under Taluka Police Station limits.
The main motto behind the killing- the deceased Mittagiri Kurva Ramudu was said to have passed information to police about the involvement of Boya Krishna and Arun Goud in killing of Yella Goud of P Rudravaram village. Unable to digest it, the accused said to have developed grudge and hatched a plan to kill him.
After making all arrangements, all the eight accused way laid Mittagiri Kurva Ramudu at B Thandrapadu Hundri Neeva Canal while he was going on his pulsar and hit him with Sumo. Later, attacked him with rods and sticks which led to his death, he added.
Kurnool DSP, DV Ramana Murthy accompanied Taluka Circle Inspector C Maheshwar Reddy, Sub Inspectors S Giri Babu and V Subramaniam by forming a team and took up investigation under the direction of SP. On a tip-off seven accused were caught while Arun Goud is at large. They have been produced before Junior First Class Magistrate (JFCM), Kurnool, who in turn sentenced them to remand, added Ravi Krishna.
