Vijayawada: State Congress Doctors’ Cell co-chairman A Naga Radhakrishsna alleged that the State government was making false statements over providing facilities for treatment of kidney patients in Srikakulam and Prakasam districts without appointing nephrologists.

In a press release here on Sunday, Radhakrishna said the State government did not appoint nephrologists either in RIMS hospital in Prakrasam or Uddanam in Srikakulam even the issue was focused extensively with the effort of Congress and other opposition parties. The irony was dialysis was being done to kidney patients in the absence of nephrologists or specialist doctors, he said.

He alleged that drinking water works were pending though around 80 per cent of works had been completed durring the Congress government’s tenure. He demanded the government resume the works as soon as possible to give relief to kidney patients.
