The Kapu Joint Action Committee (JAC) addressed the media on Sunday where the leaders cleared it out that the ‘Kapu Satyagraha Yatra' would be launched on January 25 in Ravulapalem and they won't be seeking any prior permission from the police.

Questioning the police intervention in all the Kapu leaders agitation, JAC president Vasireddi Yesudasu and convener Akula Ramakrishna mentioned that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy were allowed to undertake padayatra without having to seek permission but police are citing rules for the Kapus.

They even faulted the police for referring the guidelines of Supreme Court on ensuring law and order, further questioning them as to why the police failed to implement the same when the cockfights were organized.

The Kapu leaders asserted that the arrangements for the padayatra under the leadership of Mudragada Padmanabham are in place.
