Tirupati: Former Congress MP Chintha Mohan condemned Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) destructive attitude on SC/ST reservations in the country. He severely charged BJP and RSS, both organisations conspiring to abolish SC, ST reservations for suppressed class. An all party round table meeting was held on Sunday at Ambedkar Bhavan, here against the comments of Manmohan Vaidya, RSS official spokesperson against SC, ST reservations.

Addressing the meet, Chintha Mohan said that with the efforts of Mahatma Gandhi and Ambedkar, Congress party earmarked reservations to people of SC (15%,) ST(7%,) OBCs (27%) and Minorities (4%) and warned RSS against suppressing lower strata of society.

Congress leader demanded all political parties to come together and give support to a SC candidate for President post from South India and an OBC candidate from North India for Vice-President post. He advised PM Modi to shun RSS ideology and rule the country, following in the footsteps of earlier PM’s like Vajpayee, PV Naraimha Rao and Manmohan Singh.

Chinta Mohan charged TTD EO D Sambasivarao of showing negligence in hiking salaries to sanitation workers of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.
