Several trains cancelled, diverted

After the Hirakhand express derailment tragedy leaving many dead and injured at Kuneru near Rayagada of Vizianagaram district,  the Railway authorities have cancelled many trains and other trains were diverted to different routes.

Visakhapatnam: After the Hirakhand express derailment tragedy leaving many dead and injured at Kuneru near Rayagada of Vizianagaram district, the Railway authorities have cancelled many trains and other trains were diverted to different routes.

Train No. 58503 Rayagada-Visakhapatnam passenger from Rayagada and Train No. 58538 Visakhapatnam-Koraput passenger were cancelled at Visakhapatnam on Sunday. Train No.18448/18438 express was cancelled between Kuneru-Bhubaneswar and a passenger special will run from Kuneru-Rayagada-Bhubaneswar via Sambalpur, Thalcher between Visakhapatnam and Rayagada. Train No.18309 Sambalpur-Nanded express leaving Sambalpur on Sunday and Train No.58528 Visakhapatnam-Raipur passenger leaving Visakhapatnam were also cancelled.

Trains diverted: Train No. 13351 Dhanbad-Alleppey express, Train No. 18637 Hatia-Yeshwantpur express to be diverted via Titlagarh, Raipur, Nagpur, leaving Dhanbad on Saturday. Train No. 12843 Puri-Ahmedabad express to be diverted via Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Nagpur, Ahmedabad which left Puri on Saturday. Train No.12375 Chennai-Asansol express was diverted via Khurda Road, Angul, Jharsuguda which left Chennai on Saturday.

Train No.18310 Nanded-Sambalpur express was diverted via Khurda Road, Angul leaving Nanded on Saturday. Train No.12807 Visakhapatnam-Nizamudddin Samata express and 22847 Visakhapatnam-LTT express scheduled to leave Visakhapatnam on Sunday will be diverted via Duvvada, Vijayawada and Nagpur.
