Rajamahendravaram: Local MLA Dr Akula Satyanarayana said that a health scheme has been formulated in order to provide quality healthcare for the people living in the limits of Rajamahendravaram Parliamentary constituency, Rajamahendravaram urban MLA said here Monday, that under this scheme, one person could get free treatment up to Rs 1 lakh for 15 years by paying Rs 6,000.

Speaking to reporters, Dr Akula said that this scheme will be implemented in all the private hospitals and discussions are going on with the hospital managements in this regard. He maintained that the treatment will be provided to all the diseases under this scheme and added that first two deliveries will be conducted free of cost for women who joins the scheme.

He stated that Dr Akula Satyannarayana Trust has been constituted to implement this scheme and a committee has been also set up to monitor it. He called upon the people to enroll in this scheme from January 26 and added that this scheme has been formulated keeping people’s woes in mind.

He further said that the treatment to costly ailments like kidney transplantation could also be implemented by paying only Rs 12 per month. When he explained about the health scheme to the Chief Minister and Prime Minister, he said that they have told him that they would take steps to implement this scheme all over the country.
