Visakhapatnam: The cyber crimes are likely to go up with the indiscriminate usage of information technology, observed Andhra University Executive Council Member Prof G Sasibhushana Rao.

Speaking at a workshop on ‘Security information and event management’, organised by the Department of Computer Science, Andhra University, here on Monday, while underscoring the need to control the menace, Prof Rao said there will be bright prospects for youth who chose to become security analysts.

He said that it was equally necessary for all major/ minor companies or organisations, either in government or private sector, to maintain secrecy of their data, records and other information for which there will be a heavy demand for technical experts and cyber security analysts.

Senior Security Architect of NetEnrich Technology Limited, Vikram Chabra, dwelt mostly on the issues of how important information is being hacked and how to safeguard the information.
