Eluru: District Collector K Bhaskar said here on Monday that a committee has been formed to prepare the merit certificates list of officers and employees for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations. Every year on Republic Day, merit certificates would be given to employees in honor of their outstanding achievement in job duties.
Addressing the district officers’ coordination committee meeting held here on Monday at the Collectorate, the Collector said that a committee consisting of the District Revenue Officer, DRDA Project Director, and ZP CEO would select the list as per the recommendations of the committee and distribute merit certificates to the eligible staff. Collector asked the officials not to suggest names of officers or employees who are involved in corrupt practices and are placed under suspension.
All departments, including irrigation, labour, fisheries, micro irrigation, excise, transport should exhibit their departmental achievements vehicle in the Republic day parade. He also directed the officials to put up a special vehicle on smart pulse survey also. Joint Collector P Koteswara Rao, MH Sheriff, DRO Katta Hymavathi, ZP CEO K Satyanarayana and others participated in the meeting.
