Visakhapatnam: Municipal Commissioner M Harinarayanan asked the officials to redress the Under Ground Drainage (UGD) problem prevailing at MVP Colony, Sector-2 and Isukathota areas permanently within three months.

As part of his regular field visit to the local areas on Monday, representatives of Residents’ Welfare Associations have brought the drainage problem to his notice and responding to their plea, the civic chief immediately asked the engineering officials Rammohan and Venkat to prepare estimates to begin the work.

The residents further appealed to the Municipal Commissioner to initiate steps for proper maintenance of UGD system at least once in three months. When the residents at the Sector-2 referred to development of the park, Harinarayanan said that it would be discussed with the Residents’ Welfare Association shortly.

GVMC Grievance Cell: At the Grievance Cell conducted at the GVMC main office and all the Zonal offices here on Monday, 70 grievances were received by the Additional Municipal Commissioner (Gen) G V V S Murthy.
