Eluru: A group of 143 devotees boarded RTC buses here on Tuesday to undertake a pilgrimage tour to the government-sponsored “Divya Darshan” programme.

Enroute to the tour, theselected batch of devotees, comprising four endowments employees, 12 members of RTC, have already covered Arasavalli, Simhachalam, Annavaram, Vijayawada, Valluru, Zonnawada, Tiruchanuru, Tirumala, Srikalahasthi, Pedakakani and reached Dwaraka Tirumala at 3.00 PM.

Later, the devotees had the darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara. The temple’s executive officer, Vendra Trinadha Rao welcomed the pilgrims and distributed Lord Venkateswara’s memento and books to them.

The pilgrims will return to their native places in Srikakulam after concluding the pilgrimage tour.

It may be recalled that the State government has introduced “Divya Darshan” package on 2nd January, with a view to give chance to the ST-SC, BC, OC community and economically backward devotees to have the darshan of iconic temples in the state.
