Rajamahendravaram: Situation in East Godavari district is returning to normal as police released Mudragada and other Kapu JAC leaders who were placed under house arrest on Tuesday for taking up Kapu Satyagraha Padayatra.

Police forces are being withdrawn from the places like Kirlampudi, Ravulapalem and Amalapuram.

The Kapu leaders are opining that the police forces are being withdrawn as they have to go to Visakhapatnam where film actor Pawan Kalyan and YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy were planning protests demanding special category status.

Some of the Kapu leaders are saying that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu should have a dialogue with Mudragada Padmanabham to break the deadlock with regard to inclusion of Kapus into BC list.

About 50 leaders as well as second-rung leaders who were put on house arrest in Amalapuram, Kothapeta, Ravulapalem, Athreya Puram, Alamuru and Kirlampudi on Tuesday have been released on Wednesday evening.

Kapu JAC member Akula Ramakrishna said that core leaders of Kapu JAC will have meeting at the residence of Mudragada Padmanabham in Kirlampudi to chalk out future course of action.

Another Kapu JAC leader Vasireddy Yesudas said that he did not receive any notice on the house arrest. He suspected the withdrawal of police forces from East Godavari district has taken place to make them go to Vizag.
