Youth told to exercise franchise
Nellore: District Collector R Mutyala Raju suggested youngsters to exercise their franchise for electing the leadership. He addressed a programme organised at new ZP Hall here on Wednesday.

He said unique feature of the Constitution is providing the right to vote for every citizen, who has completed 18 years of age. Joint Collector A Md Imtiyaz said National Voter’s Day is being celebrated from 2011.
VSU Registrar Prof Siva Sankar said 45 per cent of population is youth and they need to be involved in the poll process as they dictate future of a country.
Officials handed over merit certificates to the winners of various competitions like elocution, essay writing, mock parliament and others.
They also honoured senior citizens and voters on the occasion. DRO Krishna Bharathi, Nellore RDO K Venkateswarlu and others were present.
