Guntur: Srujanankara, an international technical extravanganza, began at Vignan University here on Thursday. Dr A Sivathanu Pillai , former CEO and MD of the BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited, was the Chief Guest and Dr MYS Prasad, former Director SDSC SHAR, was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Addressing the promising technocrats of Vignan University, Dr A Sivathanu Pillai shared his experience of working with great stalwarts , legendary scientists like Dr Vikram Sarabhai , Prof Satish Dhawan , Dr APJ Abdul Kalam for PSLV , SLV, AGNI MISSILE and BRAHMOS . He advised the students to face the challenges, defeating the failure and turning every challenge into an opportunity. He pointed out that Indian engineers have immense intellectual power in the world.
Dr MYS Prasad welcomed the participants and wished them a great success. He felt the theme and events of Srujunankura like embedded systems, IoT, Robotonics will inspire and ignite the young engineers. Srujunankura is the right platform to share new ideas, develop inventions, explore the opportunities to excel. He laid stress on ethical engineering for its values and opportunities. He advised the students to utilise all the opportunities available to present the projects , share the ideas and lead to startups . He wished Vignan’s University to be one among the top ten universities in the field of R&D.
Prof K Rammoorthy Naidu , Rector of Vignan’s university welcomed the participants and extended the hearty greetings on the occasion of Republic Day. Srujunankura 2K17 is the right platform for skill development which was an initiative taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He felt proud to declare that Vignan’s University was chosen as a centre of skill development of India. He felt happy for the all arrangements made by the organizers to showcase their best talents and compete with each other . It was a right occasion to lead by talent.
The guests were felicitated by the Chancellor. Dr C Thangaraj , VC, DR MS Raghunathan , Registrar , Dr V Madhusudhana Rao Dean and the program coordinator Dr K Vidhu and the students of Vignan University were present. The Vote of thanks was proposed by the secretary, SAC of Vignan University .
