Hyderabad: YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy spit fire at the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his “undemocratic” behaviour in preventing him from participating in the proposed candle light rally in Visakhapatnam.

Jagan, who was prevented from going out Visakhapatnam airport and was sent back to Hyderabad by an Air India flight on Thursday evening, told reporters here that it was a black day for democracy.

He said the The Chief Minister should hang his head in shame. “As micro, medium and small enterprises were closing down and that several jobs were being lost, Special Category Status would be a real Sanjeevini.

But the Chief Minister has decided to unleash repression against all those who were fighting for special status,” he remarked.

He said special status was the right of the people of the State and it was a promise made on the floor of Parliament.

“It is unfortunate that we have a Chief Minister who is back-stabbing the people and was preventing them for fighting for their rights,” he said.
