PSUs celebrate Republic Day
Local Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), including Visakh Refinery of HPCL, Vizag Steel Plant, Dredging Corporation of India and Waltair division of E Co Railway, celebrated the Republic Day on a grand scale on Thursday.

HPCL, Visakh Refinery: Refinery Executive Director G S V S S S Prasad Sarma unfurled the National Flag and took the guard of honour from the Central Industrial Security Force. Speaking on the occasion, he insisted more on the safety in refinery operations and emphasised the need for implementation of safety and environmental measures.
Informing about the upcoming projects of the refinery, he said Euro-IV standard petroleum products would be produced soon. He presented service awards to 41 employees and also presented awards to 74 sportspersons who have won several medals in participating inter-State and inter-unit sports. DGM (I/C, HR) Narisetty Raja Rao and others were present.
Vizag Steel Plant: Chairman and Managing Director P Madhusudan hoisted the National Flag on the Republic Day at Ukkunagaram on Thursday and took the salute from the CISF personnel. Speaking on the occasion, the CMD disclosed that the steel industry has a bright future. He called upon the employees and officials to work with commitment for the plant growth.
DCIL: Chairman and Managing Director of Dredging Corporation of India Rajesh Tripathi hoisted the National Flag at the corporate office, port area here on Thursday. In his R-Day speech, Tripathi congratulated the officers and staff for completing Vikramaditya project at Cochin Shipyard Limited and it has boosted the turnover of the company by Rs 100 crore.
